For $30, you can sponsor a student to attend

Each spring, Special Education Division students and alumni dress up and step out for the Very Special Prom, and this year's event is just around the corner.

The Very Special Prom, now in its 30th year, will be held on May 20. This event is a true example of BOCES-wide collaboration. Many aspects of the Very Special Prom — from formalwear, to corsages, to cookies made for dessert, to cash and other donations — come courtesy of staff, students and local businesses. This generosity helps make the event accessible and affordable to all.

The prom committee is accepting $30 sponsorships to help individual high school students in BOCES special education classes attend this year's prom. Your donation will cover the cost of his/her dinner, flower corsage or boutonniere, souvenir and photo.
