Google Calendar embeds e-mails, maps and more into events

Staying on top of Capital Region BOCES trainings and events will now be a little easier thanks to a new and improved online calendar launched March 31.

In an effort to make organizing dates more interactive and user-friendly, the online calendar of events has been revamped using Google Calendar.

Visitors can now link directly to an e-mail contact to find out more about a meeting, download an informational workshop flyer, link to My Learning Plan, or click on a map to find directions to an event location — all right from the calendar.

Each event is color-coded by division, and visitors can choose to turn specific division event dates on and off for easy perusal. Just click on the drop-down arrow (next to “Agenda” view) to choose to display specific events.

The new calendar also allows visitors to view events in a week, month or agenda format.
