Student art show begins April 26 

23rd annual event features student art from 17 school districts

 

A celebration of student creativity and achievement, inspired by art teachers, began April 26 with the opening of the 23rd Annual BOCES Art Show.

 Artwork from the BOCES Student Art ShowThe show features more than 240 pieces of art from students in 17 area school districts. The creative works will line the hallways and conference rooms of the BOCES Central Administration/School Support Services headquarters, and will remain through May 26. 

The student artists and their families celebrated the start of the show and the "unveiling" of their works with a reception from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 26 at BOCES headquarters.

Participating districts include: Berne-Knox-Westerlo, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, Cobleskill-Richmondville, Capital Region BOCES Special Education, Cohoes, Duanesburg, Green Island, Middleburgh, Mohonasen, Niskayuna, North Colonie, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, Schenectady, Schoharie, Scotia-Glenville, Shenendehowa and Watervliet.
