BOCES had strong presence at statewide school boards conference  

staff presented, recognized at NYSSBA conference


 

Capital Region BOCES had a strong presence at the New York State School Boards Association's Annual Convention in New York City October 21-24, with staff presenting multiple workshops and accepting 30+ awards.

"That so many staff participated speaks highly of our BOCES," said District Superintendent Charles Dedrick. "Congratulations to staff who were selected to present programs, or who received awards for their work."

"Also, congratulations to board member Lynne Lenhardt, who was recognized for being 2nd vice president of the NYSSBA Board of Directors," Dedrick added.

Nearly 3,000 school board members, superintendents and educators from across New York State attended the convention. Attendees participated in more than 100 educational seminars and presentations; delegates also voted on resolutions to set NYSSBA's advocacy agenda for 2011.
