BOCES sweeps state public relations awards  

From newsletters to websites to marketing campaigns, BOCES Communications Service wins big


Capital Region BOCES made a strong showing in the 2011 New York School Public Relations Association competition, winning 31 percent of all awards given.

BOCES won 33 honors in the NYSPRA's 32nd Annual Communications Awards, including in a variety of categories, from newsletters and videos, to websites, marketing campaigns and writing. The entries were produced by BOCES' Communications Service.

NYSPRA's annual contest is one of the largest of its kind in the nation, and received around 300 entries in its 2011 contest. Award-winning recipients will be honored on October 28 at the annual NYSPRA Awards Luncheon held in conjunction with the 2011 New York State School Boards Association Convention in Buffalo.

NYSPRA is a statewide group of professional school communicators, members are committed to the development and dissemination of communications designed to engage parents, staff, community residents, partners in education and other stakeholders.
