The Center for 21st Century Teaching and Learning is a joint venture of the Capital Region and Questar III BOCES. The Center’s service model is based on the innovative teaching and learning experiences at Tech Valley High School. The professional development through the Center supports school districts in the development and assessment the Common Core Standards and 21st century skills such as: communication, critical thinking, collaboration, self direction and information and technology literacy.

 

A sequence of implementation includes:

arrow bulletDevelopment of project-based units and support systems

arrow bulletProtocols to promote collaborative school culture

arrow bulletRubric design to assess Common Core Standards and skills for career and college readiness

 

Activities through Tech Valley High School include study tours, teacher shadowing, embedded internships, institutes, coaching and on-site consultation.
