BOCES can assist districts in their efforts to improve student achievement through high-quality, research-based professional development and school-based consulting services.
This also serves as a vehicle for sharing local expertise. Included in this service are:
Offerings
based on specific district needs for embedded staff development in
any of the disciplines.
Presenters
and trainers are identified to implement these services.
Specific
trainings when at least two districts request a presenter or
organization.
Annual
trainings that continue to meet district needs, such as Wilson
Reading, Literacy Institutes and academies
that train staff to be instructional and staff development leaders.
“Successive
sharing” of presenters after a shared district activity. Individual
districts may have the same presenter work
with their district for up to 18 months after the original
activity.
