Helping Children Cope with Disaster

Sometimes, in the weeks and months that follow a natural disaster, coping with the after effects can be as difficult for children as it is for adults. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the American Red Cross have created a booklet that offers parents, caregivers, and other adults suggestions on how to help children cope with the effects of disaster, as well as how to be prepared before a disaster strikes.
