The S3TAIR Project (Supporting Successful Strategies to Achieve Improved Results) is a federally funded, IDEA state personnel development grant project that supports improvement of outcome for students with disabilities through identifying and capitalizing on capacity in successful districts.
Working with a cohort of schools and districts whose evidence-based practices in literacy, positive academic and behavior supports and services or effective provision of special education programs and services have resulted in good outcomes for students with disabilities, the regional field facilitator documents the practice for dissemination and facilitates schools’ mentor relationships with a cohort of low-performing districts in the East Joint Management Team area. The regional field facilitator also collaborates with members of VESID and EMSC-funded networks to provide professional development and technical assistance to the identified low-performing schools and districts. The coordinator of statewide facilitation ensures coordination and communication among field personnel and networks throughout the state.
2011-12 Pricing: GRANT — no costs to districts
