Letterhead, logos and more
What is branding? Why is it important?
Branding is a combination of a logo, name, design, etc. used to identify one organization and to help that organization differentiate itself from others.
At Capital Region BOCES, we want to be seen as an educational leader, an organization that provides a broad range of services and programs to meet the ever-evolving needs of our school districts and students. To do this, we need to ensure that all materials produced by our programs and services are clearly denoted as Capital Region BOCES.
Branding guidelines
All external communications, with the exception of NERIC materials, must include the current Capital Region BOCES logo. (NERIC is an exception because of its complex association with multiple BOCES.) This includes all flyers, postcards, posters and brochures.
The placement of the logo and its colors are up to individual programs and services ― as long as placement of the logo clearly denotes that the program or service being advertised is a Capital Region BOCES activity.
Materials that have already been printed and do not include the logo may be used if it is not economically feasible to reprint the materials. However, any new materials being printed must include the logo. Several versions of the logo are available below.
All programs must use the standard BOCES letterhead and business cards, also available in the shared ‘p’ drive. (The one exception is NERIC, which will continue to use its own letterhead and business cards.) Contact your supervisor then division communications specialist if you need business cards or color letterhead printed.
Current copies of the Capital Region BOCES letterhead and logos are available (in multiple formats) in the shared "p" drive. If you can't access this information, please contact divison's communications specialist or Jill Aurora, public information officer.
