One positive and productive step toward effective advocacy is self-education. Engaging, in depth, research based ADVOCACY sites abound on the World Wide Web. Professional organizations and policy making groups provide links to significant ISSUES, current RESEARCH, and POLICY base. Reviewing and understanding the content of these sites would strengthen any potential advocate's ability to build strong arguments, draw on respected studies, and echo national and state library leaders.
